Why Push

Push /po͝oSH/ a vigorous effort to do or obtain something.

I love this word and this definition. That is my goal for myself and everyone else – to put forth vigorous effort. That is the the push! There are times you have to push down deep inside to pull yourself up. It is a concept popular in yoga – the idea of root to rise. You root down to find grounding and stability to rise up. I use that concept on and off my mat. For me many times that means coming down to my knees and looking up where my help comes from to send a prayer of gratitude, a prayer for peace or a prayer for guidance.

Faith

Increasing your complete trust and confidence in God and in yourself is vital. Taking time each day to simply quiet the voices around you and more importantly the voices in your head can be a game changer.

Focus

I am SO EASILY DISTRACTED! You are not alone! However, setting attainable goals, keeping a calendar (written and electronic), journaling and having accountability partners has helped me stay focused on the tasks at hand.

Fitness

As a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher I have the privilege of guiding people on an awesome journey through their own body. Our bodies are strong and resilient, let’s marvel in all they can do!

Food

If we are going to train the mind and the body, let’s be more mindful about what we put inside of our permanent home. Trust me this is not about being vegan, or vegetarian or anything else. It’s about doing what’s best for your body, increasing fresh fruit and vegetables and portion control.
